Australia vs India 2nd Test Day 1: Australia won the toss and they decided to bat first.

Australia vs India 2nd Test Day 1 Report: India made a lot of changes in the playing XI today. Shubman Gill replaces Prithvi Shaw. Rishabh Pant replaces Wriddhiman Saha. Mohammed Siraj replaces Mohammed Shami as he got ruled out of the Test series due to injury. Mohammed Siraj played his debut match today. While Ravindra Jadeja came in place of Virat Kohli.

India put up a strong show on the Boxing Day Test. They restricted Australia to a below-par total of 195. They have made a comeback after a humiliating performance of 36/9 in the second innings of the first test. Due to which they lost the first test. However, they are in a good position after the first day.

Matthew Wade, Marnus Labuschagne, and Travis Head scored 30, 48, and 38 runs. However, they failed to convert their starts into a big score. Steven Smith fails to deliver as he got out on a duck. Ravindra Jadeja took a brilliant catch to dismiss Matthew Wade

Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammed Siraj impressed with their bowling. They took 4, 3, and 2 wickets respectively. Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket as well after making a comeback. He got ruled out of the T20 series due to a concussion. He returned back in style.

At the end of Day 1, India were 36 for 1. Another failure for Mayank Agarwal. Because he got out on duck by Mitchell Starc. As of now, It has been a disappointing series for Mayank Agarwal.

While Subman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara were unbeaten on 28 and 7 on day 2. They will continue from here and will look to put up a strong partnership so that India can reach a good total on the board. So, that they can level the series. On the other hand, Australia will look to pick early wickets. So, that they can put pressure on the Indian middle-order batsman and the lower middle-order batsman.

Parthiv Patel says that it is a big achievement for the Indian Cricket Team to dominate the 2nd test match on Day 1 because they lost the toss as well.
