Australia vs India 2nd Test Day 3 Match Report: India was able to reach 326/10 in the first inning. Ajinkya Rahane was unfortunate to get run out on 112. Mitchell Starc dismissed Ravindra Jadeja on 57. Indian lower order crumbled as they added only 32 runs after Rahane’s dismissal and lost four wickets. They are still in a good position. But, they need to improve on this. Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon picked three wickets. While Pat Cummins took a couple of wickets. Josh Hazlewood took one wicket as well.
India will look to win the match on Day 4 and will look to level the series. Australia came in to bat and they scored 133 for at the end of Day 4. Matthew Wade was their top-scoring batsman with a score of 40. India was one bowler short as well because Umesh Yadav got injured in his fourth over and he left the field due to a calf injury. But, Aussies didn’t take advantage of that. While their batsman failed to score miserably.
Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith were the most dependable batsman for the Aussies. However, they scored 28 and 8 in the second inning. Steve Smith scores 1, 1*, 0, and 8 in the first two test matches against India. But, the Aussies saved an innings defeat.
Pat Cummins and Chris Green were unbeaten on 15 and 20. They are leading by 2 runs and they will continue from here on Day 4. India will look to the finish of the game by picking wickets early and restrict them to put a lesser total on the board. On the other hand, Australia will look to score as many runs as possible. Ravindra Jadeja picked a couple of wickets. While Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Siraj, and Ravichandran Ashwin took a wicket each.
