Australia vs India 3rd Test Day 2 Match Report: Australia were 166 for 2 on Day 1. They reached a decent total of 338 in the first inning. Steven Smith is back in form as he scored 131 runs. It was his 27th Test century. Marnus Labuschagne also batted well. However, he misses out on his century by just 9 runs. However, the other batsman failed to score today.
Today, Ravindra Jadeja has a fantastic day as he picked four wickets and a crucial run out of Steven Smith. Jasprit Bumrah also picked a couple of wickets. Navdeep Saini took one wicket as well. He picked a wicket yesterday as well and totaling it to 2 wickets.

Jadeja says that the wicket was slow and there was no turn. So, need to stick with the same line and length and put pressure on Australians. Glad that it worked out today.Ravichandran Ashwin went wicketless as Australian’s have an attacking approach against him. Otherwise, India would have restricted the Australian cricket team to 300 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Ravichandran Ashwin will have to rethink his strategy and needs to come back stronger in the second innings.

New opening pair in the form of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill came in to bat. They put up a 70 runs stand. But, Josh Hazlewood dismissed Rohit Sharma on 26. It was a soft dismissal. Rohit Sharma was looking in good touch but he failed to convert the start. Shubman Gill scored 50 runs. But, he got out by Pat Cummins. India finishes Day 2 with a score of 96 for 2.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were unbeaten on 9 and 5. They will continue from here on Day 3 and they will look to post at least 400 runs in order to have a big lead. On the other hand, Australia will look to pick wickets to put Indians under pressure.
