Australia vs India 3rd Test Day 3 Match Report: India were 96 for 2 on Day 2. India batted poorly on the third day as they could only reach to 244 in the first inning. They should have scored at least 300 runs. Three run-outs in a third match hurt them badly. Hanuma Vihari, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit bumrah got run out. It is the most unfortunately way to get out In a test match.

Cheteshwar Pujara scored fifty. However, he batted too slow. His strike rate was 28.41. Sometimes, it looks like lack of intent to score runs. He has been dropped in the past as well for his slow batting. Because the way he bats, it puts pressure on the other batsman to score runs. India got a good opening for the first time in the series. But, the middle order and lower middle order failed completely.

Rishabh Pant contributed 36 runs. While Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 28. But, their injuries will be a major concern for the Indian Cricket Team. Because both of them didn’t get back to the field. India lose a bowler again in the form of Ravindra Jadeja in the second inning.

Pat Cummins bowled magnificently as he picked a four-wicket haul. Josh Hazlewood took a couple of wickets. Mitchell Starc picked a wicket as well.

Australia came in to bat for the second inning. They are in a strong position to win as they already have a lead of 94 runs. They scored 103 for 2 on Day 3. Their openers David Warner and Will Pucovski failed to score. But, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith performed again. They were unbeaten on 47 and 29 at the end of Day 3. Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammad Siraj picked a wicket each. They will continue from here on Day 4. We have to see whether India will fight back or not.

Cheteshwar Pujara says that lack of contributions from the lower middle order has hurt us the most in the overseas.
