Barbados Tridents asked to bat first. They started poorly. Because they lost their three key batsmen in the initial three overs. Sheldon Cotrell was on fire with two quick wickets. However, their all-rounders supported them. Due to which they managed to score a respectable total of 153 for 9 in 20 overs.
Jason Holder and Kyle Mayors played an attacking inning. Because of which Barbados Tridents made a good comeback by 51 for 3 in the powerplay. Because at one stage, they were 8 for 3. Jason Holder was their top-scoring batsman with a score of 37 in 20 deliveries.
Kyle Mayors supported him and achieved 37 in 20 balls. Rashid Khan and Mitchell Santner scored the twenties and helped their side in reaching a decent total on the board.

Now, Patriots needed 20 runs 6 balls. Skipper trusted Mayers and gave him the final over. He gave 13 runs in the final over. But, he won the game for Barbados Tridents.
Holder bowled a tidy spell as he gave only 21 runs in his four-overs. Mitchell Santner and Rashid Khan picked a couple of wickets.
Barbados Tridents won the match by six-runs against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the second game of the CPL. However, It was a close game. But, you need to win close games because it helps in boosting the morale of the players. Mitchell Santner is the player of the match.
