Aaron Finch scored an unbeaten 63 in just 49 balls. Nabi also batted well and was unbeaten on 38 in 28 deliveries. Ben Cutting picked a couple of wickets. Mujeeb also took one wicket. Finch is also awarded as Player of the Match. Brisbane Heat needed to win the game in order to go ahead for the next round but they failed to do so. Their top batters did not bat well and their bowlers were unable to pick wickets.
