David Warner ruled out from 3rd ODI and 3 T20 matches against India

David Warner has been ruled out from 3rd ODI and 3 T20 matches against India.

David Warner got injured while fielding in Australia vs India 2nd ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He went off the field and didn’t return back to the field because he was in pain. Glenn Maxwell and the physio takes him out of the field.

Warner has to undergo scans for a groin injury. It is a big blow to the Australian team. Because he was in great touch with the bat.

He has been ruled out of 3rd ODI and 3 T20 matches against India. However, the Australian team is hoping that he gets fit for the test series against India.

D’Arcy Short will replace Warner in the T20 series. They have also given rest to Pat Cummins for the remaining white cricket ball matches. So, he comes back fresh in the test series. This will also give the opportunity to other bowlers to step up and showcase their talent.

Head coach Justin Langer said that he wants their leading pacer Pat to be mentally and physically fit as it is a long series. David has to go to rehab in order to work on his injury. We want our star players to be fit for the test series. So that we can get points for the World Test Championship and maintain the number one position in the table.

But, Marcus Stoinis will still be in the squad. He missed the last game due to a side strain.
