England beat Ireland in first ODI

ODI Cricket is Back

England beat Ireland in the first ODI. Their leading pacer David Willey bowled an outstanding spell and made a great comeback to the side. He did not play for England for 12 months as he was dropped. He makes full use of this opportunity and picked a five-wicket haul.

David Willey bowled his career-best spell of 5/30. He was rewarded as Man of the Match. He took the game away from Ireland in the initial overs by picking four wickets in four overs. Saqib Mahmood also bowled nicely and took two wickets.

England beat Ireland in the first ODI by six wickets. Curtis Campher came in to bat when David Willey was on a hattrick. He defended the hat-trick ball and scored an unbeaten 59 due to which Ireland was able to post a respectable score.

England lost their openers early in a 173 run chase. But, Sam Billings played an unbeaten knock of 67 and guides the team towards a victory. Morgan contributed 36 runs as well. They are leading the series 1-0. England vs Ireland second ODI game will take place on the 1st of August.
