Interestingly, no Indian bowler seems to have achieved the feat of bowling the fastest ball in an IPL season. Hopefully, it will happen in the upcoming seasons and a young talented pacer will be clocking more than what the current record stands at.

Kagiso Rabada of the Delhi Capitals is one of the fastest bowlers as of now. He might have had a chance of bowling more than 148.73 Kmph in 2021 but unfortunately the season ended midway.

Fastest Ball In IPL 2020

Anrich Nortje is Delhi Capitals dependable fast bowler. He bowled the fastest bowl in the IPL History against Rajasthan Royals on the 14th of October on Wednesday. The speed was 156.22 kph. He says that he didn’t realize at that point in time that it was the fastest ball bowled in the Indian Premier League.

Anrich Nortje said that I am working hard to give my best for the team. But, Jos Buttler scooped on the fastest delivery. That was unbelievable! But, he dismissed him on the next delivery after getting smashed for 16 runs. It was an incredible effort from Anrich Nortje as he kept on attacking stumps with the pace. He showed the intent to pick wickets in the match. Because you have to take wickets if you want to win matches.

He receives the Man of the Match award. He gave 33 runs in his four overs and picked two wickets. Buttler smashed 16 runs in his first 5 balls. But, he came back well as he gave only 17 runs in the next three overs and took wickets as well. Five fastest balls bowled in IPL History That is incredible!
