India vs Australia 1st Test Day 3 – A Horrible Day for Team India
India vs Australia 1st Test Day 3 Report: The Australian due of bowlers, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood destroyed the entire second innings of the Indian cricket team with their razor-sharp bowling. They managed to stop the Indians at the lowest score of just 36 runs. The condition of the Indian inning was so bad that none of their batsmen managed to cross the double-digit mark.
The highest scorer of the team India was Mayank Agrawal who scored just 9 runs. You can easily imagine the scale of destruction which these two bowlers wrought on the Indian inning. Josh Hazlewood was also one of the most economical bowlers of all with an economy rate of just 1.60.
After the Indians scored 36 runs in their second innings, they had managed to set a target of 90 runs for the Australians. The Australians managed to easily achieve it after losing just 2 wickets. Matthew Wade and Joe Burns propelled the Australian cricket team towards victory with their brilliant inning of 33 and 51 runs. Joe Burns, especially impressed with his smashing innings which he knocked in just 63 balls. He smashed 7 boundaries and a six. The Australians managed to achieve their set target in just 21 overs.
As for the Indian bowlers, only Ravichandran Ashwin managed to take a wicket. And he was also the most economical bowler of all with an economy rate of just 2.67. The match had to end on the third day itself because of the poor performance of the Indian batsmen.
We hope that the skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri takes this performance seriously and work hard on improving their performance in the upcoming test of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy.
This is important because the Indian cricket team ought to be in pristine shape for the next test match. Hopefully, this will happen and we will see some improvement in the upcoming matches.
But, the major concern will be the injury of Mohammed Shami. He injured his shoulder while batting in the second innings. He didn’t even come out to bowl to bowl. Because if Mohammed Shami will be out of the remaining matches then it will be a big blow to India.
