Alex Carey also played a small cameo by scoring run a ball 35.
They recovered well but they could not able to cross a 300 run mark as they need a power hitter at the end to increase the scoring rate in order to post a big total. They missed the batting power of Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis. Mohammed Shami picked four wickets. Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets. India batted outstandingly as they chased down the total in 47.3 overs and they won the game by 7 wickets. Rohit achieved 119 in 128 balls. Kohli scored 89 in 91 balls. Shreyas Iyer played well as he scored an unbeaten 44 in just 35 balls. Josh Hazlewood, Ashton Agar, and Adam Zampa took one wicket. India won the series 2-1.
They played well as they were 1-0 down but they won the next 2 games and come out as the winner of the series. Rohit Sharma is awarded as Player of the Match and Virat Kohli is awarded as Player of the Series. Finch said that if we had crossed the 310 runs then our spinners could have put some pressure but it did not happen as we kept on losing wickets but it is a learning for us and we will try to learn from our mistakes and come back much stronger.
