India made an interesting comeback in the final ODI against Australia and won the game by 13 runs.
India vs Australia Third ODI. The Indian fans were expecting this win after India managed to put up a score of 302 runs during their first innings.
As for the toss, India had won it and decided to bat first. As for the Indian innings, few batsmen including the skipper Virat Kohli impressed us with their performance. Hardik Pandya played an astounding knock of 92 runs (in just 76 balls).
Because of his, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja’s performance, India could put up a mammoth total of 302 runs against Australia. Virat Kohli also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the fastest 12000 runs in ODI.
With regards to the Australian bowling, Ashton Agar was the best performer of all with two wickets to his name. He was also the most economical bowler with an economy rate of just 4.40. As for the other bowlers, Sean Abbott, Adam Zampa, and Josh Hazlewood took one wicket each to their name.
If we talk about the Australians’ batting then some of their initial batsmen could not perform well today. An exception to this was skipper Aaron Finch who scored a decent total of 75 runs. He and Glenn Maxwell (59 runs) were the only two batsmen who managed to score half-centuries.
As for India’s bowling, then Shardul Thakur dominated the match and took 3 wickets in total. While the most economical bowler of all was Jasprit Bumrah who had an economy rate of just 4.53. T. Natarajan also performed well in his debut match and took two wickets.
Hardik Pandya won the Player of the Match Award. While Steven Smith receives the Player of the series award. Aussies won the series 2-1 against India.
