Since skipper Steven Smith was released by the Rajasthan Royals team management, people are naturally curious about who will be leading all the teams in the current season of the IPL. Worry not because we are going to talk about all the captains of the teams in this article. So, here we go with the list of IPL 2021 captains:

  • Team- Kings XI Punjab (KXIP)

Captain- KL Rahul

KL Rahul will want the team to perform better than last season since they finished 6th out of 8 teams. Hopefully, his team will be able to do so.

  • Team- Delhi Capitals (DC)

Captain- Shreyas Iyer

DC aka Delhi Capital were the runner ups in the last season of the IPL. And Shreyas will for sure be looking forward to leading the team to the title.

  • Team- Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

Captain- Virat Kohli

The RCB skipper will want the RCB to perform better this time as they finished 4th in the last IPL season.

  • Team- Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Captain- Sanju Samson

The Royals were in the news recently after they had decided to drop their captain Smith. Samson will be leading the team now.

  • Team- Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Captain- David Warner

Warner too would like to see his team win the title this year as they finished 3rd the last time. Their fans have their hopes high.

  • Team- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Captain- Eoin Morgan

KKR’s performance wasn’t that great last year as the finished fifth. It will be interesting to see what strategy Morgan uses this year.

  • Team- Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Captain- MS Dhoni

CSK had a poor IPL season in 2020 as they finished a distant 7th. Fans have high expectations from Mahi as this might also be his last IPL.

  • Team- Mumbai Indians (MI)

Captain- Rohit Sharma

The reigning champions would definitely be looking forward to winning again. MI fans too want the same to happen again.
