Kings XI Punjab won the match by 8 wickets against RCB. It was a much-needed victory for them. Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul started brilliantly as they scored 56/0 in the powerplay. But, Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Agarwal on 45(25) in the 8th over. Chris Gayle (The Universe Boss) came in to bat. He took his time and then started hitting his shots. He scored 53 runs in 45 balls.
2 runs were needed for Kings XI Punjab to win in the last over. But, they were struggling to score runs in the final over and take the game till the last ball and Chris Gayle got run out on the fifth balls. So, the new batsman has to come on the striking end. Nicholas Pooran smashed a six on the last ball and guides the team towards a victory. But, the effort from Yuzvendra Chahal was fantastic.
Virender Sehwag said that I would have liked the Kl Rahul’s knock more if he had finished the game in the 18th over. He takes the game too deep. And in that situation, if a well-settled batsman gets out. It becomes really difficult for a new batsman to score under the pressure.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the toss and they decided to bat first. They started well as they were 62 for 2 in 6.3 overs. But both their openers were dismissed. Virat Shocked everyone as he sent Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube ahead of Ab de Villiers because he wanted to disturb the line and length of the spinners with the left and right-hand combination. The move didn’t work well.
Shami bowled a brilliant 3rd over as he dismissed both Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers. Virat missed out his fifty by just 2 runs in his 200th game. But, Chris morris and Udana played a small cameo and takes the team to a decent total of 171 for 6 in 20 overs. Chris Morris played an unbeaten knock of 25 runs in 8 deliveries. Udana was unbeaten on 10 in 5 deliveries. Mohammed Shami’s last over was quite expensive as he gave 24 runs. Mohammed Shami and Murugan Ashwin picked a couple of wickets. Arshdeep Singh and Chris Jordan took a wicket each.
