Introduction

Led by Shah Masood, Multan Sultans was added to the PSL in 2017. Their coach is veteran Zimbabwe-based cricketer, Andy Flower. The team is yet to win their first PSL title and their fans are hoping that probably the next one will be theirs to have.

Owners

The Multan Sultans is currently owned by Alamgir K. Tareen and Ali K. Tareen. When the team was created, it became the most expensive one due to the amount of yearly payment required. The original owner cancelled their deal with the PCB since they defaulted on the annual payment and finally, it came under the current ownership.

Home Ground

Multan cricket ground is their home ground and it is managed by South Punjab Cricket Association. It is also the home ground for the Southern Punjab cricket team. The ground isn’t that old as it was built in 2001 as a replacement for the cricket stadium which was in Multan at that time.

Sadly, it hosted Multan Sultans matches only in 2020 till now. Hopefully, it will host some more matches in the seasons to come as it is one of the finest cricket grounds in Pakistan and Punjab.
