Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets. It was Eoin Morgan’s captaincy debut for KKR. MI has to chase a target of 149 and they got a brilliant start as they scored 90 runs in 10 overs. De Kock dropped a catch. But he covers up quite well. He scored 78* runs in 44 balls. Rohit Sharma played a run a ball 35. Hardik Pandya also played well as he scored 21* in 11 deliveries. They convincingly won the match. Shivam Mavi and Varun Chakravarthy picked a wicket each.

Kolkata Knight Riders were 61 for 5 in 10.4 overs. KKR’s middle order is a big concern. Because Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell are not in a good form. They were in trouble but the partnership between Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan takes the team to a respectable total of 148 for 5 in 20 overs. But, it was not enough as they are competing against Mumbai Indians because they have a strong batting line up.

Pat Cummins scored 53* in 36 balls and Eoin Morgan scored 39* runs in 29 deliveries. Coulter Nile’s last over was quite expensive because he gave 21 runs. He came in place of James Pattinson. He was rested because Mumbai Indians wanted to manage the workload of their players. It gives the opportunity to the other guys.
