Neesham Responds to Virat’s DRS Call

There was quite an interesting moment in the third T20 match between Australia and India on the Sydney cricket ground. On the newcomer, T. Natarajan’s delivery, the Australian batsman Matthew Wade missed his shot and the ball ended up hitting on his pads. Although the bowler and the team made an appeal. But, it was not that serious.

Then someone from the technical team of the display screen in the stadium played the review of the delivery and this caught the Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s attention. Seeing that Matthew Wade could have been out, he went ahead and demanded a review. But then Matthew Wade protested this saying that Kohli had asked for the review too late.

Matthew Wade knew actually that he was out. The umpire accepted his protest and decided not to give Kohli his review.

Neesham Responds to Virat’s DRS Call: This prompted Jimmy Neesham to tweet that “This has to be the most mistakes made in a 20-second window of cricket” at all times. It was quite a sharp and witty tweet.

If the players need to take some morale out of this incident then bowlers and teammates have to be more aware of LBW dismissals. Paying attention is also quite vital since had the Indian team paid attention, they would have right away gone for opting the review without wasting valuable time. Matthew Wade would have ruled as out and the match would have gone a different way.

All these things are a part of becoming a good sportsman and every cricketer needs to learn something from this. Jimmy Neesham also rightfully tweeted his opinion in a witty and charming manner.

If we talk about the match then Australia made a comeback and managed to win the match by 12 runs. It was quite great for the Australians since after winning the ODI series, they had suffered from back to back defeats at the hands of the Indians.
