New Zealand vs West Indies Day 2
New Zealand vs West Indies Day 2 Report: Continuing from their score of 243 for 2 wickets on the first day, New Zealand managed to put up a mammoth total of 519 runs. The main attraction of the whole innings as you might have guessed was Kane Williamson. The Kiwi captain managed to score 251 runs. He managed to do this in 412 balls with him smashing 34 fours and 2 sixes.
Another significant scorer on the second day from the Kiwi side was Kyle Jamieson who managed to score a half-century (he scored 51 runs). None of the other New Zealand’s batsmen managed to impress us with their batting.
New Zealand declared their innings on the score of 519 for 7 wickets.
If we talk about the bowling by West Indies bowlers then Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel shone again with 3 wickets to each of their names in total. Alzarri Joseph also managed to take a wicket.
The most economical bowler from the West Indies side was the West Indies skipper Jason Holder. He gave just 60 runs in the 31 overs that he bowled. (An amazing economy rate of 1.94!!!) He impressed with his dominating bowling.
As for West Indies batting, then they managed to score 49 runs in 26 overs. A good thing was that they haven’t lost any wickets as of now. John Campbell has scored 22 runs (in 68 bowls) and Kraigg Brathwaite has scored 20 runs (in 89 balls).
The New Zealand team has bowled effectively against the West Indies batsmen and has managed to control the runs. It will be interesting to watch how the West Indies’ innings unfold against the Kiwi bowlers. We hope that the match turns interesting and we all enjoy it.
