New Zealand vs West Indies Day 3: West Indies Gets Mauled By The Kiwis

New Zealand vs West Indies Day 3

New Zealand vs West Indies Day 3 Report: Although the West Indies cricket team managed to pull off a decent start on their first innings on the second day, their team failed to perform as per the required standards on the 3rd day. All their batsmen got out in just 64 overs. They managed to score just 138 runs in their first innings.

Then the Kiwis asked West Indies to follow on and there too the West Indies batting lineup collapsed completely. As for the situation right now, the West Indies cricket team is at 196 for 6 wickets. They are still 185 runs behind New Zealand.

As per us, West Indies will try to draw the match and try to keep their remaining wickets intact. Although, chances are that New Zealand will beat them for sure. We guess there is only one way to find out.

If we talk about both the innings of the West Indies team, then their batting performance was so bad in the first innings that none of the batsmen managed to cross even the 30 runs mark. New Zealand’s razor-sharp bowling made sure that the West Indies team stayed pinned down. Tim Southee was the most successful bowler who managed to take a whopping 4 wickets.

While Neil Wagner and Kyle Jamieson managed to take 2 wickets each. The most economical bowler in the first innings of the West Indies cricket team was Trent Boult (who boasted an economy rate of just 1.76)

If we talk about the second innings then it was somewhat similar to the first inning. Only Jermaine Blackwood has managed to prove his mettle. He has scored 80 runs and is still not out. We hope he plays well in tomorrow’s game and saves West Indies from the impending doom.
