New Zealand ended up winning the match by an inning and 134 runs. This win can be attributed to their fearsome bowling attack. And, the complete failure of the batting line-up of the West Indies cricket team.

If we talk about the bowling of New Zealand, then in the second innings, Neil Wagner was the best bowler. He managed to take 4 wickets in total. Kyle Jamieson also managed to take 2 wickets to his name. All the other remaining bowlers took one wicket each (Tim Southee, Trent Boult, and Daryl Mitchell).

If we talk about the complete test match then the West Indies team had won the toss and had decided to bowl first. But this did not benefit them much as the New Zealand cricket team managed to put up a mammoth score on board (519 runs). West Indies meanwhile failed to catch up with this score both the times that they batted. This was all thanks to the superior bowling of the New Zealand cricket team.

Neil Wagner took 6 wickets in total in both the innings (2 wickets in the first innings and 4 wickets in the subsequent inning). He was by far the most successful Kiwi bowler on the field. Other bowlers also registered their mark as Tim Southee took 4 wickets in the first innings.
