During the 1st match of the Twenty20 International 2016 series, K L Rahul scored the fastest unbeaten 110 runs in the United States against West Indies in just 51 balls and equally became the only Indian Cricketer to score a century in USA International Cricket.

In 2016, Team India visited The United States of America to play a four-match Test series against West Indies and there were additional two tour matches prior to the test matches. However, when West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) met BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), two T20 International matches were added to the tour.

On August 27, 2016, KL Rahul, the Indian opening batsman with a strike rate of 215.68. He managed to smash 110 runs including 5 sixes and 12 fours. While chasing a target of 245 runs against West Indies at Lauderhill, Florida, USA.

With this century, KL Rahul not only became the Indian player having the fastest century in T20Is in the USA. But he also overcame Suresh Raina’s 59-ball century. Which he blasted in ICC Twenty20 series in 2010 against South Africa at Gros Islet.

However, India lost the first T20 cricket match in the United States by 1 run. India won the toss and chose to bowl. West Indies set a target of 245 runs on the board. With Evin Lewis smashing amazing 100 runs in 49 balls. Evin Lewis and K L Rahul both made their maiden centuries in T20I.

Apart from that, KL Rahul also scored 158 runs in the 2nd match of the four-game Test Series. During their visit to the United States of America to play Test and One Day International matches against West Indies.

It was a good start for Lokesh Rahul’s international cricket career. He also beat Rohit Sharma’s score of 106 runs against South Africa in the T20 International 2015 series at Dharamshala Stadium, India. He became the highest-scorer Indian in Twenty20 International in Cricket History. Additionally, the second-fastest century scorer equalled to a 46-ball joint.
