Pakistan vs New Zealand 1st T20 Match Report: The kiwis kicked off the T20 cricket series with Pakistan in style as they managed to defeat them in the first T20 cricket match. They won the toss and had taken the decision to bat first. As for their batting inning, they lost their initial four wickets early on. They were down to 20 runs for just 4 wickets.
But then the Pakistani skipper Shadab Khan stabilized the inning with his knock of 42 runs in just 32 bowls. He got support by his teammate Faheem Ashraf who also scored a decent score of 31 runs in just 18 bowls smashing 2 fours and 3 sixes.
The Pakistanis in all managed to put up 153 runs on the board. If we talk about the Kiwi bowling, then Jacob Duffy was the top performer with 4 wickets to his credit. He was also assisted by his fellow teammate Scott Kuggeleijn, who successfully took 3 wickets. Thanks to the razor-sharp bowling of the Kiwis, the Pakistanis were stopped in their tracks and had to stay content with a score of 153 runs.
If we talk about the Kiwi batting, then they too made a weak start as they lost a couple of their batsmen early on in the game. But then wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert played an excellent inning of 57 runs. He managed to smash 6 fours and a six in his knock. Another one of his teammates, Mark Chapman, managed to contribute 34 runs. Thanks to the excellent batting of the Kiwis, they managed to win the match with 7 balls to spare.
As for the bowling of the Pakistani team, Haris Rauf emerged as the best bowler. Because he picked three wickets. Shaheen Afridi, another one of his teammates took a couple of wickets. It was a great match overall. But, the Kiwis emerged as a winner by 5 wickets in the end.
