Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs at the Dubai International Stadium. Uncapped player Devdutt Padikkal got the opportunity to debut for RCB in the very first game. He scored a promising half-century on his debut. T20 best batsman Ab de Villiers smashed 51 runs in 30 balls. But, the other batsman struggled to score runs. SRH bowlers were struggling to pick wickets in the first 10 overs. But in the next 10 overs, they fight back and restricted RCB to 163 for 5. Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar, and T Natarajan took a wicket each. At one stage, it looked like, they will score 175 to 180 runs. But, they fall short.
Chahal’s magical bowling turned the match on RCB’s favor. He dismissed well-settled batsman Manish Pandey and Bairstow. Manish Pandey played a run a ball 34. Jonny Bairstow scored 61 runs in 43 deliveries. He bowled a googly to Vijay Shankar and sent him to Pavillion. After the wicket of Bairstow, they kept on losing wickets. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost 8 wickets for 32 runs. That is unbelievable. The middle order of SRH crumbled as they batted poorly. They could have easily won the game.
They missed the services of Kane Williamson. Dropping a good batsman like Kane was not a good idea. Unfortunately, Mitchell Marsh also got injured while bowling as his ankle got twisted and he left the field. But, he still came out to bat. But, it was too late. He was finding it difficult to play. However, he still tried for his team but he got out.
Shivam Dubey also bowled well. Because he gave only 15 runs in three overs and took two wickets. Navdeep Saini was incredible with his bowling and took two quick wickets. Rashid’s wicket was the key. Because he has the capability of hitting boundaries. Umesh Yadav struggled with his line and gave 48 runs in his four overs. Yuzvendra Chahal won the Man of the Match for his magical bowling.
