Sourav Ganguly felt chest pain after a workout. That is the reason he was admitted to Woodlands Hospital. Where the doctors confirmed that it was a heart attack. Dr. Rupali Basu confirms that he was suffering from angioplasty.  But, now he is stable and he can talk as well.

The doctor says that they will conduct a meeting on Monday. Then, we will decide how to proceed further. But, we need to allow him to settle down first.

He came to Kolkata in order to have a discussion about the preparations for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. It is India’s domestic tournament which is going to take place on the 10th of January.

In October 2019, he became the BCCI president. He was tested negative for Covid-19 before the surgery. Many players wished him a speedy recovery.

In 2008, he took retirement from test cricket. He has scored 7212 runs and has scored 16 hundred in the Test. While in ODIs, he has scored 11363 runs.
