South Africa won’t be visiting Pakistan in the proposed one-week window from March 22-29 in order to manage the workload of its players. The tour will be held when it will be possible. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated on Friday (February 14).
South Africa will be visiting India for three-match ODI series and was hoping to visit Pakistan for three T20Is after the finish of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on March 22 and before the beginning of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on March 29. Rawalpindi was the proposed scene yet as it stands now, the visit is delayed and a substitute window to play the games is up in the air.
While we were distinctly anticipating facilitating South Africa one month from now, we regard Cricket South Africa’s purpose behind not sending their side one month from now as they need to manage the workload of the players.
We are satisfied that the CSA stays focused on rescheduling this short arrangement when for all intents and purposes conceivable. As there are a solid readiness and duty, both the sheets are currently investigating their FTPs to discover gaps so that we can pick the dates,” he included.
The proposed three-match T20I series was in addition to South Africa’s full tour of Pakistan in January next year, when they will play two Tests and three T20Is as part of the Future Tours Programme (FTP).
