How Sydney Sixers Maul the Renegades? The Renegades had won the toss and had decided to bowl first. This did not turn out well for them as the Sydney Sixers managed to score a humungous total of 205 runs. In response to this, the Melbourne Renegades managed to score only 60 runs! Yes, you read it right. It was one of the lowest scores in the history of the whole Big Bash League.

As for the batting of the Sydney Sixers, opener Josh Phillippe scored a whopping 95 runs. He could have scored a century. But, he got out by Josh Lalor. Other star performers include Daniel Hughes and Jordan Silk. They managed to score 32 and 45 runs respectively. Great batting performance by the Sydney Sixers meant that they could score an impressive total of 205 runs.

With regards to the bowling of the Renegades, then Peter Hatzoglou was the best performer of all. He managed to take 2 wickets. His fellow teammates Kane Richardson and Josh Lalor also took a wicket each to their name.

The innings of the Renegades was a complete disaster. Because only 4 of their all batsmen managed to cross the double-digit mark. The highest score of their innings was 13. However, it was shared by three of their batsmen.

As for the bowling of the Sydney Sixers, Ben Dwarshuis took the most number of wickets (4 wickets). He was also the most economical bowler. Other bowlers who were successful at taking wickets were Steve O’Keefe (3 wickets), Gurinder Sandhu (1 wicket) and Carlos Brathwaite (2 wickets).

The Sydney Sixers managed to completely decimate the innings of the Renegades. It was thanks to them being able to take wickets at a regular interval. The match could have gotten interesting had the batsmen of the Renegades managed to put up a fight. But this was not the case.

Hopefully, Renegades will learn from this crushing defeat and try to perform well in the upcoming matches.
