Every year, International Cricket Council list down its Top 100 Bowlers in Twenty20, Test and One Day International Cricket. However, the ranking of the bowlers depends on their ratings basis wickets taken and runs per over. But, we are providing the list of the top 10 T20 bowlers of 2020.
Listed down are the Top 10 Bowlers in Twenty20 according to ICC Ranking:
#1 Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan has retained his 1st rank this year too (3rd consecutive year) in the ICC T20I bowlers ranking. But, it looks like he will retain this position in 2021 as well. There were less number of matches played this year but he has performed well in them.
#2 Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Its pride time for Afghanistan, The first two ranking of the T20I 2020 is retained by the Afghans. Mujeeb Ur Rahman, has retained his second position this year to only behind his idol and fellow country player Rashid Khan.
#3 Ashton Agar
Here is a player who has become a regular contributor to the team. He was ranked 9th position in 2019 but his performances early this year and recent tour of England has helped him secure the 3rd rank in the ICC T20 bowlers ranking.
#4 Adil Rashid
He is definitely one of the most reliable players in the English team today. His performances against South Africa and Australia this year has helped him to move up to the 4th rank in the ICC T20 ranking. He was at 7th position end of last year.
#5 Tabraiz Shamsi
Trabraiz has had a good year with the ball. His performances against Australia at the beginning of the year and England at the final quarter of the year have helped him move up the ranking to the 5th position.
#6 Adam Zampa
Adam Zampa has had a pretty decent year with the ball. He was on 5th position in 2019 but this year he has moved to 6th this year. Zampa has been very economical this year in T20 Internationals.
#7 Mitchell Santner
Here is one more orthodox bowler in the list. But, he has gone down from 3rd rank in 2019 to 7th in 2020. The year has been average for the Kiwi bowler.
#8 Imad Wasim
Imad is transforming into being a good all-rounder. Due to the reduction in matches this year, he wasn’t able to prove his abilities. The series against Zimbabwe was good for him in terms to decent performances, However he has dropped from 4th rank to 9th rank this time.
#9 Sheldon Cottrell
Cotrell has come up a long way on the list. He is becoming one of the most dangerous bowlers. He had a decent New Zealand tour.
#10 Chris Jordan
Jordan has had an average year in T20I but had a good year with T20 Leagues. He has retained his same position as last year.
