West Indies Vs New Zealand Test Day 1
West Indies vs New Zealand Test Day 1 Report: New Zealand treaded carefully as they batted on the first day of the test. They did lose their first wicket fairly quickly though (14/1) but Kane Williamson and Tom Latham put up a good partnership for the second wicket (154 runs) before Tom Latham was dismissed by Kemar Loach.
West Indies had won the toss and decided to bowl first.
At the end of the day, the score of the New Zealand cricket team was 243 runs for 2 wickets with Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson still being not out. Hopefully, both of these players will put up a good partnership and help New Zealand set up a big first-innings score.
If we talk about the West Indies bowling side then Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel managed to take one wicket each. Jason Holder impressed us with his amazing economy rate of 1.32! Other economical bowlers include Kraigg Brathwaite (2.00 economy) and Alzarri Joseph (2.53 economy).
Changes in The Teams:
Hetmyer and Bravo return back. Shai Hope is out.
The Kiwi skipper said that Young would be coming in as a replacement for the injured BJ Watling.
As of now, nothing can be said about who will be winning the match. There is a lot more to evolve in the match. Only time will tell what is going to happen. We hope you enjoy the match as it unfolds before your eyes.
