Introduction
Rahul Tewatia was born on 20th May 1993 in the city of Faridabad. He went on to become an all-rounder. Besides domestic cricket, he has also made a name for himself in the domestic Indian T20 league, IPL in which he has represented Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. In the seven first-class matches that he played, he made 190 runs with a batting average of 17.27 runs per innings. His top score as a batsman stands at 35 runs. While as a leg-break bowler, he bagged 17 wickets and his best performance is an impressive 7/98.

As compared to his first-class performance, his List A performance as a batsman is somewhat better as he has scored 484 runs in 21 matches with an average of 37.23. Also, he has hit three half-centuries too with a high score of 91* runs.

This is where things get interesting. In 66 T20 matches, he has scored more than 900 runs with an average of 31.51 and has two half-centuries to his credit. As for bowling, he has secured 42 wickets with his best performance being 3/18.
Rahul Tewatia International Career
While he was named as a member of the Indian squad in the T20 series against England in February 2021, but he is yet to make his international cricketing debut.
Rahul Tewatia IPL Debut
He made his debut on 5th May 2014 against Kolkata Knight Riders while playing for the Rajasthan Royals. As for batting, he didn’t get the chance to bat and while bowling, he didn’t manage to take any wickets and was also quite expensive (gave 18 runs in 2 overs).
As for the match, KKR had won the toss and opted to field first. RR thanks to the great performance of their top-order batsmen put together a score of 170 runs. Karun Nair (44 runs off 35 balls) and Sanju Samson (37 runs off 31 balls) were the top-scorers for the team.
KKR also performed well while chasing this mammoth target but fell short by a few runs and ended up at 160 runs. The reason being that only the openers Robin Uthappa (65 runs off 52 balls) and Gautam Gambhir (54 runs off 34 balls) performed well and others struggled a lot to score decently.
